On April 1, 2010, the Alter Volleyball family tragically lost two of its most treasured members when Kacie and Tom Hausfeld perished in a plane crash.
Kacie (2007 Alter grad) will be remembered not only as a two-time State Champion on the volleyball court, but as everyone's friend. She brought a smile and friendship to all she met and she left behind lots of laughter and countless memories we will always hold dear. Tom (father of Kacie and Ali, 2004 Alter grad and two-time State Champion) was the consummate Alter sports fan - even after his daughters graduated from Alter; he could be found in the stands of volleyball, basketball and football games cheering on the Knights. Involved in so many businesses, boards, activities and causes; Tom was a great friend and an all-around great guy who has left us with a legacy of what it means to lend a hand.
Both Tom & Kacie will forever be remembered by the Alter community and all whose lives they have touched.
